Concrete pavers are a sub-set of landscaping pavers. They are different from brick pavers due to the process used to make them. Concrete pavers are made by pouring concrete into forms, and pressure and air cured. They use of forms give concrete pavers two major advantages over brick pavers; 1) they are very uniform in size making installation easier, and 2) they can be made in various shapes and sizes. Concrete pavers can be made that resemble natural stone pavers. They can also be colored in a wider variety of colors then brick pavers. They are very durable, however, their colors can fade over time. Concrete pavers are fairly easy to clean and maintain, but a sealant is recommended to help prevent color fade.
Concrete pavers work wonderfully in a wide range of hardscapes including; concrete paver patios, brick paver driveways, concrete paver walkways and concrete paver retaining walls.
